How to find the Roundup:All of the Roundup activities will take place in the Hotel Tower. Registration, 12-step meetings and workshops will take place on the 2nd floor and the Serenity Lounge Hospitality Suite will be on the 17th floor.

There are two entrances to the Tower

#1 If you enter through the main entrance of the hotel, you will have to walk by the GayDays Expo and the main Pool Parties. Come into the tower and take the stairs or elevator to the second floor.

#2 If you would like to avoid walking through the other GayDays activities, you can enter the Tower through the side entrance. Come into the tower and take the stairs or elevator to the second floor. This does provide a more private entrance, but please understand that this is a public event and we cannot guarantee anonymity.

Friday June 4th:

9am Meditation — Bates R.

10am Workshop — Fun in Recovery
This workshop deals with the issues of how to have fun without drugs and alcohol, how to create more fun and how to define fun with a new perspective.  Handouts, Interactive and fun in itself!!— Steve T. & Nelson A.

11am Workshop — Lucky Old Biddies in Recovery
Between the three panelists is a total of 75 years of sobriety.  Listen to these “ladies” as they reveal 9 specific tools of the program that have helped them achieve long-term sobriety & nine specific tools that help them maintain it today. — Kelly L.

3pm Workshop — Emotional Sobiety
This workshop gives participants an opportunity to explore the areas where we lose our emotional balance and identify tools for how we can remain sober and emotionally balanced in the face of anything. — Bates R.

4pm Workshop — Madonna
What’s her secret? You have to attend to discover your truth (or dare). — Lynn W./Eddie R.

3pm Workshop — Sex & Relationships in Recovery
A workshop that encompasses the various aspects of what a sober gay or lesbian person needs to factor in when trying to nurture the ideal sex life in sobriety. Panelists: Luis C, Nelson F., Darryl, Al P., Bates R. and Mark J. The last 3/4 of the workshop will be question and answers. — Eddie R.

4pm Workshop — Sponsorship
Experienced AA’s share about early experiences with sponsorship (what worked/what didn’t) and how sponsorship enhances their recovery today. Panel includes Sylvia R., Terry M., John W., and Guy B. Bring your questions about sponsorship and your experience, strength, and hope to share with the group. — Kelly L.

Sunday June 6th:

8am Meditation — Bates R.

It was a fabulous & slightly derranged evening of fun that genuinely showed “we are not a glum lot.” We exceeded our fundraising goal & had a hilariously fantastic time in the process. If you missed this year’s pageant we can assure you that next year will be even more bigger & fabulouser!

The winner of this year’s pageant was the truly stunning (if not slightly dingy) Miss Anita Meeting (pictured above). Anita — whose maiden name was Bump — wowed the judges & crowd alike with her megawatt smile & talent number:  a Madonna montage during which she gave birth (to a doll of course) & proceeded to tell the audience, “Hey Mr. DJ, put a record on. I wanna dance with my baby.”

The other contestants were (in order of appearance) Diana Thurst, The Duchess (who garnered the most audience donations), & Beth-Ann Fetamine.  We are fairly certain (though it’s not officially confirmed) that all the ladies will be making an appearance at Friday night’s infamous Drag Bingo during the Roundup. If you would like to ensure that your favorite from the evening makes an appearance at Bingo please let them know! The event was emceed by the beautiful Ashley Steele & featured appearances by last year’s queen, Ophelia Biggun, & Chyna Maykit with special guests Crystal DeCanter & Anya Nees performing a rousing version of “All That Jazz” from Chicago.

The newly crowned Miss GayDays Roundup will receive free registration to the Roundup and serve as the new Queen of Drag Bingo on Friday night. News of this event already has the local community buzzing and we look forward to seeing who signs up to be contestants! For those that don’t want to compete, your entrance fee to the pageant will further help support the event.

This clean & sober event is open to the public.

1. Point your internet browser to http://www.Gaydays.com
2. Select “My Account” and create an account.
3. Select “Host Hotel” and read the important information at the top.
4. In order to be near the Roundup block of rooms, please select one of the Deluxe Tower options. (If you do not want one of these rooms, but prefer a different room, then just register as directed on the site and ignore the following direction)
5. Once you select your Deluxe Tower option and pay online you will recieve a confirmation email. In order to be in the GayDays Roundup Room Block, you must respond directly to the confirmation email and indicate that you are with the GayDays Roundup and they will be sure to arrange your reservation accordingly.

Please choose an available room type then choose your check in date and number of nights. Stays must be a minimum of 3 nights and include Friday, June 4 and Saturday, June 5, 2010.

If you wish to make multiple room reservations, they must be made one at a time. If the charge for the 2nd reservation is declined, wait 20 minutes and try again.

All rates are for occupancy by up to four persons at no additional charge. No more than four persons may occupy any room or suite.

Prices on the GayDays.com site DO NOT include tourist tax and sales tax.

There are penalties for canceling your reservation once it is made. Please read the Cancellation Policy before continuing with your reservation.
